GROWING
OUR FOCUS
We see a disciple of Jesus as being someone who is His apprentice - someone who spends time with Him and learns from Him by imitation.
At Trinity we look to organise all that we do in ways that facilitate this. We give people the opportunity to connect with Jesus and each other, and support them in carrying their relationship with Him into all areas of everyday life.
RETREATS
We recognise that Spiritual Disciplines are important in helping us to become more aware of Jesus’ presence and more open to His power, which can transform us from the inside out. A discipline is a practice in which we regularly say yes to God in the present.
One of these practices is retreat. Each year we facilitate two day-retreats, time where we can come away together to be actively present to God so that we can return to life in a way that is somehow different.
LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups meet fortnightly and focus on the Bible, helping people at all stages of life follow Jesus. We currently reflect on our Sunday morning sermons and discuss what following Jesus looks like in our lives and community.
YEARLY RYTHYM
At Trinity we have a yearly rhythm that allows us to consider three important questions:
‘what do I believe?’ Autumn series:
the transcendence and imminence of God (2024), the big story of the Bible (2025).
‘why should I believe?’ Winter series:
the 3-2-1course.
‘how do I put that into practice?’ Spring series:
sabbath (2024), prayer (2025).
PRAYER GATHERINGS
Join us in the Prayer Room every Sunday at 10:00am for prayer before the service and on alternate Thursday evenings at 7:30pm to pray for our church, community, and the world.
PRAYER MINISTRY
Each Sunday morning, at the end of the service, two members of our prayer ministry team are available (at the front left of the church) for anyone who would like someone to pray with them.
People ask for prayer ministry for a great variety of reasons – to pray through something that has struck them during a service, for healing from physical illness or for spiritual healing, for support in anticipation of a hospital visit, to seek clarity when taking a decision, and many more.
