CE (Christian Endeavour)
The CE meets on Friday's from 6.15pm - 7.15pm
The CE Website provides that:
″Christian Endeavour is an International and Interdenominational organisation so members are given the opportunity to meet with Endeavourers from other areas and from different denominations through attendance at Rallies and other events organised not only at Local Union and Irish Union level but at World CE Union level also.″
Christian Endeavour in Trinity encourages young people in [age group] to participate in the running of their meetings and in so doing develop leadership skills.
The motto of the CE is ′For Christ and the Church′ and this is translated into its aims which are to lead children and young people to the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and then to train them to serve Him as Lord and Master.
There are four groups in the CE:
- Helpers
- Mixers
- Promoters
- Supporters
Each group takes it in turn to plan one week′s meeting in advance and each person in the group is allocated a duty for that meeting. All this is done with a minimum of adult assistance.
Members may become ′Active Members′ and participate in a monthly Act of Consecration and there is also an opportunity to a test to gain the Irish Junior Proficiency Award.
