Top Ten List
If you are new to Trinity or plan on visiting us, you might have a number of questions about what our services are like (among other things). We have prepared a list of 10 'Frequently Asked Questions' that should hopefully provide some answers!
What makes Trinity different?
Trinity is a friendly family of all ages. There is always a warm and heartfelt welcome to any who pass through our doors. But especially, we never forget the reason for being here. We come together to worship God and to do so in a way which is inclusive of a range of worship tastes and traditions. Individuals are important to us! We want you to feel at home with us; be it in our services, our organisations or in our social contacts. Our mission statement sums up our attitudes: love God, love each other and love our neighbours as ourselves.
What are the Church services like?
Our services are planned so that all may feel comfortable joining in worship with us. The morning service leans towards a traditional form but also includes contemporary music and, from time to time, invited speakers on selected topics.
The evening service is characterised by a more contemporary style of music. The exposition of scripture is central to all out worship. We accept in our services that there are those who believe and those who do not. It is our wish that all would accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and our services are intended both to encourage and challenge believers and to bring others to faith in the Lord.
Do I have to do or say anything?
The simple answer is no! No one coming to Trinity will in any way be embarrassed. We do not force anyone to partcipate against their wishes - we want only to have you join with us in the worship of the Lord.
What do we believe?
We are an evangelical congregation whose aims are to see people come to faith through the teaching of our Church. We believe in salvation through faith and grace. We do believe that it is important for believers to work out their faith throughout showing compassion for those in need. You may find out more about our beliefs here.
What should I wear to Church?
We do not have any policy on dress! All coming to us should feel comfortable in whatever they choose to wear. We have those who like to dress more formally and also those who prefer to dress casually. This is not a problem for us! It is you who we want to see and welcome, not what you wear!
What is there for my children?
Trinity has a wide range of uniformed and non-uniformed groups and organisations for children. From creche on Sunday mornings and Trinity Tot Spot for babies to activities and special events for those aged up to 12+, there is something for everyone! For more information see our Trinity Youth Central page.
What is there for teenagers?
Our teenagers and young adults have a very important role in our fellowship: encouraging our teenagers towards a life of faith and obedience to Christ is our priority. Much time and thought is given to this and we provide a range of activities for young adults. For more information see our Trinity Youth Central page.
